Pimentel, Jr., (PDP-Laban) led the inauguration of the newly-constructed school building of the Aparri East Elementary School in Aparri, Cagayan which was built through his initiative. With Pimentel, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were his wife, Mrs. Lpurdes "Bing" Pimentel and an Aparri Mayor Shalmar Tumaru. The inauguration coincided with his recent visit to Cagayan Valley.
