ABANDONED CHILDREN -- Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr. cites the urgency of forging a bilateral agreement between Tokyo and Manila for a joint effort to help Filipino children who have been abandoned by their Japanese fathers including the determination of their citizenship. Pimentel addressed a meeting on the plight of so-called “Japinoys” at the Traders Hotel on Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City attended by three Japanese Senators Shiina Kazuyasu, Nomura Tetsuro, Yamauchi Toshio and Atty. Kenshi Nishida, legal counsel of non-government organization assisting the abandoned children.
