LIGA NG BARANGAY 2ND ANNUAL CONVENTION

A PITCH FOR THE MAGNA CARTA FOR BARANGAYS. Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Q. Pimentel, Jr. (PDP-Laban) has urged barangay officials to lobby with leaders of Congress for the approval of his bill, the proposed Magna Carta for Barangays which, among others, calls for the upgrading of benefits for village officials. Pimentel was the guest speaker at the 2nd national convention of the Liga ng Barangay held on May 20, 2009 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
