Under Senator Pimentel's leadership, the Blue Ribbon Committee, he has recommended the prosecution of public officials and private individuals involved in:

• The Expo Pilipino centennial celebration anomaly;
• The misuse of funds of the Retirement and Separation Benefits System (RSBS) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines;
• The faking of land titles at the Land Registration Administration; and
  
• The anomalous DILG-Mahogany drug testing contracts.

As Chairman of the Committee on Civil Service, he is working for the passage of the Civil Service Code to reduce corruption.
