Committee Reports Filed by the Commitee on Local Government

To date, the Committee has filed one (1) committee report. Committee Report No. 9 which recommended its approval in substitution of Senate Bill Nos. 929, 1046 and 1203. The Committee Report was submitted jointly with the Committee on National Defense and Security.

The aforesaid report was filed on October 12, 1998 and submitted to the Senate the following day. It was assigned for consideration by Special Order on November 18, 1998 and immediately thereafter Senators Pimentel delivered his sponsorship speech. Senator Drilon and Barbers also delivered their co-sponsorship speeches.

Committee Report No. 9 was approved on Second Reading with amendments on December 21, 198.

On February 24, 1999, the aforesaid report was approved on Third Reading with 16 Senators voting in favor with no abstention and no dissenting vote.
